Magic To Do

Magic. The word conjurs up images of smoky stages with glamorous women and men in top hats and tuxedos. There are wands and rabbits and scarves and people being sawed in half. Playing cards are flying through the air and coins are pulled out of ears. Audience members volunteer, applaud, and gasp in amazement.

An evening at the Magic Castle does not disappoint. Fantasy meets reality in this exclusive Los Angeles club and magic academy. Walking in is like taking a step back into old Hollywood. I had a blast watching the tricks and enjoying the spectacle of it all.

It was fun. It was great to suspend disbelief and leave the cynical side behind for a few hours. And who doesn't love a little mystery wrapped in drama and flair? I think we all need to abandon our realities for a moment and let our inner children out to play...and sparkle.
